Good Knock-knock Jokes

When your child starts to get into jokes, both of mine started their joking just before they turned 3 years old, you might want some simple and loving jokes on hand. My favorite knock-knock joke is the following:

1st person: Knock-knock.
2nd person: Who's there?
1st person: Olive.
2nd person: Olive who?
1st person: I love you too!

Hush Little Baby: Lullaby Lyrics

When I was a child, my step mother sang this song to my little brother and sister. I always thought that it was such a sweet melody but I never liked that Momma "buys" a solution. I started singing it this way to my baby.

Hush, little baby, don't cry a word.
Mama's gonna show you a mockingbird

And if that mockingbird won't sing,

Movie: "4: Rise of the Silver Surfer"

This movie had some nice effects but the plot wasn't anything to write home about.

Movie: "Evan Almighty" (Released June 22, 2007)

A silly movie where God asks Evan Baxter to build an ark becoming a modern day "Noah". There are many funny scenes involving miraculous hair growth and SHEEP! My whole family watched it, including my two year old. I believe that she loved seeing all of the pairs of animals. My ten year old and I laughed several times. The sets were realistic and the animals, including the humans were funny.

Movie: "March of the Penguins"

This is a beautiful, touching documentary about the life cycle of the antarctic Emperor penguin. I kept thinking, with so many tribulations it is truly amazing that the Emperor penguin is not extinct.

Movie: "Happy Feet"

This is pretty good. I especially enjoyed the soundtrack and the animation. There were portions that looked so real, I am not sure if there was actual photographic footage mixed in or not. The penguin dancing was quite good too.

Movie: "Everyone's Hero"

A cute little story where a boy, a ball and a bat can save the day. The animation is nice and the characters are lovable but don't read too much into it. There is not much truth in the story: I'm pretty sure there are no talking baseballs and I hope no ten-year-olds jumping train from New York to Chicago.
